The three Republican candidates vying to be Alabama’s next Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries enjoyed markedly divergent fundraising efforts for the month of June, according to the Alabama Secretary of State’s website.

Douglas Mayor Corey Hill reported $55,100 in contributions, with funds on hand of $95.100.

Farmer and businesswoman Christina Woerner McInnis reported $172,298 in contributions, and funds on hand of $256,183.

State Senator Jack Williams reported $327,194 in contributions, with funds on hand of $313,582.

The race for Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries promises to be one of the most hotly contested Republican primaries this election cycle. With Tommy Tuberville seemingly unstoppable in his quest to be the Republican nominee for Governor, attention is shifting to down-ballot contests for other State offices that usually do not garner so much attention.

The contest to fill Tuberville’s Senate seat will certainly draw attention and federal-level funds. But, it remains to be seen whether the contest for Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, or Commissioner of Ag & Industries will be the most expensive race in Alabama’s 2026 Statewide elections.
