Tommy Tuberville has secured several major business endorsements in his quest to be Alabama’s next Governor.

Manufacture Alabama, the Petroleum & Convenience Marketers of Alabama (P&CMA), and the Alabama Grocers Association are among the first business organizations to endorse in the race.

“I’m grateful for the outpouring of support from business leaders across Alabama,” Tuberville said in a statement from his campaign. “When I was a small-business owner, I saw firsthand how high taxes, over‑the‑top regulations, and rising costs can impact your bottom line. President Trump is creating a manufacturing renaissance in this country, and we have to make sure Alabama is first in line. As your next Governor, I will get rid of unnecessary red tape, lower taxes, reduce wasteful spending, and work with President Trump to create an economic boom in the Yellowhammer State.”

Jon Barganier, President of Manufacture Alabama, praised Tuberville’s commitment to manufacturers statewide:

“Coach Tuberville values the impact of manufacturing and has emphasized his commitment to work with our association and member companies as our next governor. Coach has the work ethic and vision to ensure Alabama has the workforce, infrastructure and energy required for manufacturing to thrive in the great state of Alabama.”

Manufacture Alabama represents hundreds of firms that contribute roughly $40 billion annually to the State’s economy.

Rex Jones, Chairman of P&CMA’s Board, emphasized Tuberville’s understanding of energy and small-business concerns:

“Tommy Tuberville understands the challenges facing Alabama’s energy and retail sectors, and he is committed to supporting policies that promote economic growth, protect small businesses, and ensure a reliable fuel supply across the state,” Jones said. “Senator Tuberville will be a strong advocate for our members in Montgomery as our next Governor.”

P&CMA represents more than 3,250 convenience stores and about 60,000 employees—a vital force in Alabama’s local economies.

Ellie Taylor, president of the Alabama Grocers Association, underscored Tuberville’s role in supporting food supply chains and small businesses:

“Senator Tuberville has proven to be a strong advocate for Alabama's economy, food supply chain, and small businesses. His background, leadership, and commitment to protecting Alabama values make him the right choice to lead our state forward.”

Tuberville launched his gubernatorial campaign from Auburn in late May, placing heavy emphasis on manufacturing, workforce development, and education.

He had already picked up at least one other political endorsement—from the Club for Growth PAC—before making his run official.

Tuberville has only one declared Republican opponent thus far, Birmingham businessman Ken McFeeters. The Republican primary will be May 19, 2026.
