Alabama GOP Legislative Recap – Week 1

It was a pleasure to be in Montgomery last week as our legislative delegation hit the ground running for the first week of the 2026 session. I had the opportunity to visit with many of our legislators, and it was clear they were eager to get back to work serving the people of Alabama.

This first week was productive, with committee hearings featuring robust agendas and thoughtful debate. Our delegation passed five bills out of the House and six out of the Senate, including several key legislative priorities for the Party, from election integrity to education. It’s inspiring to see our elected leaders roll up their sleeves and deliver such strong results for Alabamians.
