The following is a partial list of Acts signed by Alabama Governor Kay Ivey during the week of April 7-11, 2025. It only includes general bills that affect the entire State. It does not include single-County bills, Resolutions of any type, including Commendations, Congratulations, Honors or Mourning, or any Act relating to Sundown Laws and their extensions. 

Each Act is numbered by year (2025) followed by the number of the Act. A link for each Act should take readers to the Secretary of State’s website, where another link to the final form of the Act may be found.

2025-136 (SB252) relating to Pharmacy Benefit Managers, to amend the Code of Alabama to further provide regulation on pharmacy benefits managers by the Commissioner of Insurance; to provide a minimum reimbursement amount for independent pharmacies; and to regulate rebates from drug manufacturers to pharmacy benefits managers

2025-138 (SB179) relating to military punishment, to amend the Code of Alabama to revise and further provide for the ranks of members that may take and have taken against them certain disciplinary measures; and to further provide for disciplinary measures that may be taken 

2025-139 (S91) relating to military installations, to amend the Code of Alabama to revise the definition of the term “military installation”; to require persons to obtain the approval of a local government before constructing a tall structure within a certain distance of a military installation; to authorize local governments to seek in enjoyment of the construction of a tall structure in certain circumstances, and to make conforming changes

2025-171 (S83) relating to public buildings, to provide requirements for the installation and maintenance of powered, height, adjustable, adult size changing tables in public bathrooms, under certain circumstances; to provide grant award payments to public entities with pre-existing public facilities; and to encourage the installation of adult size changing tables in private sector facilities

2025-172 (S181) relating to the practice of respiratory therapy, to adopt the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact into the Code of Alabama; to allow licensed respiratory therapists to practice among compact states; to establish requirements and obligations for participation in the compact; to provide for disciplinary actions and joint investigation procedures; to establish and provide for the operation of the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact Commission; and to provide for the management, implementation and enforcement of the compact among member states

2025-183 (S200) relating to courts, to amend the Code of Alabama to rename “drug courts” to “accountability courts” and to expand the scope of whom accountability courts would serve to include offenders with mental illness and offenders who are veterans; to further provide for the duties of the Administrative Office of the Courts; and to repeal sections of the Code of Alabama relating to drug testing procedures
