Alabama Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition Endorse Joshua McKee in AL-1 Congressional Race
Joins Alabama Cannabis Coalition in dual endorsement

The Alabama Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition have formally endorsed former Green Beret Joshua McKee in Alabama’s District 1 Congressional race.
Joining A-RAMP in this endorsement is the Alabama Cannabis Coalition, another Statewide cannabis advocacy group.
In the endorsement statement, the groups said:
The Alabama Cannabis Coalition and the Alabama Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition are proud and very excited to publicly announce our endorsement of Joshua McKee, candidate for US Congress, District 1 for the 2026 Midterm Elections. We believe he is exactly who we need to send to Washington DC to stand up for the freedom and liberty of Alabamians and all citizens in the nation to end the insanity of the ongoing Prohibition of Cannabis. Joshua McKee has a very impressive background and we encourage you to visit his social media platforms and his website to learn more.
We are grateful for his acceptance of our endorsement and look forward to standing with him in solidarity during his 2026 Midterm election campaign. His success will depend on the citizens of Alabama, not only in Congressional District 1, but the entire State.
The group then provided this introduction to McKee from his campaign website:
"Joshua McKee, a 25-year Army Special Forces Veteran and principled conservative, understands that true strength comes not from Washington politics, but from the bonds we forge in our own communities. Across our district's 691,000 residents, from young military families at our bases to multi-generational farming families, every voice matters in building the future we want for our children. The most powerful force in America isn't found in Washington – it's found when neighbors stand together, when parents demand better for their schools, when local mayors and council members have a champion who understands their daily challenges. Joshua will be that champion, carrying the hopes and dreams of Mobile and Baldwin Counties to Congress with the same dedication he served our nation."
McKee is a Bronze Star recipient and 25-year Army Special Forces veteran. He lives in Baldwin County with his wife Jennifer and their family. His life story; from a broken childhood to Special Forces leadership, is detailed in Built Without Applause.
