TRUK PAC, the political arm of the Alabama Trucking Association, has officially backed Secretary of State Wes Allen in his bid to become Alabama’s next Lieutenant Governor.

Greg Brown, Chairman of TRUK PAC, called Allen a candidate who understands how vital trucking is to Alabama’s economy. “Secretary Wes Allen understands that Alabama’s economy is dependent on a vibrant trucking industry which employs 132,000 Alabamians,” Brown said. “Small businesses in Alabama are struggling, and we need leaders like Wes who will support low taxes, regulatory relief, fair courts, law enforcement, and highway safety.”

Brown added:

“As Probate Judge, a former state representative, and our current Secretary of State, Wes has been a results-driven leader for Alabama, its employers, and its citizens, and Alabama Trucking is proud to endorse his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor.”

In accepting the endorsement, Allen pointed to the trucking industry’s broad impact across the state. He noted it employs more than 130,000 Alabamians—roughly one in every thirteen jobs statewide—and is central to moving “more than 80 percent of all essential goods across Alabama, including food, medical supplies and construction materials.”

Allen said:

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Alabama Trucking Association. Truckers keep businesses running, shelves stocked, hospitals supplied and families supported. They truly keep the state and national economy rolling. These are the hardworking men and women that I am proud to work for each and every day.”

Since 1938, the Alabama Trucking Association has advanced and enhanced the trucking industry in Alabama through State and federal advocacy, safety and compliance support and education, and public relations. For more information, visit AlabamaTrucking.org.

Allen is one of several contenders for the office of Lt. Governor in the Republican primary scheduled for May 19, 2026.
