ALFA Endorses Derek Chen for State Auditor
Chen: “Honored” to have the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation
The Alabama Farmers Federation, through the Alabama FarmPAC, has announced that they have endorsed Derek Chen for State Auditor.
The endorsement was one of several released following Tuesday’s ALFA meeting in Montgomery.
In a statement following the endorsements, ALFA President Jimmy Parnell said, “The 2026 election cycle will be a turning point for State government. With more than 160 races on the ballot and several key open seats, the decisions voters make in May and November will impact Alabama’s future for years to come.”
In accepting the endorsement, Chen told ALPolitics.com that:
“ALFA members know what it means to run things efficiently, account for every dollar, and do the job with integrity. That is exactly how I will approach the role of State Auditor. I will bring transparency, accountability, and common sense to a government that too often forgets who it works for. I am honored to have the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation.”
The ALFA endorsement follows on endorsements of Chen by the Alabama Rural Electric Association of Cooperatives (AREA) and the Alabama Forestry Association.
