ALGOP Financial Oversight Committee Holds Initial Meeting

HOOVER, Ala. – The Alabama Republican Party’s Financial Oversight Committee (FOC) held its first meeting on Sunday at ALGOP headquarters in Hoover.
Established under Article V, Section 9 of the ALGOP Bylaws, the FOC is tasked with monitoring the financial activities of the ALGOP. The committee reviews financial documents, evaluates the Party’s fiscal standing, and reports its findings to the Steering Committee.
During Sunday’s meeting, members reviewed the committee’s responsibilities and discussed financial information for review; including profit and loss statements, financial transactions, bank records, invoices, receipts, and other supporting documentation.
The current members of the ALGOP Financial Oversight Committee are:

“I was encouraged by Sunday’s meeting and the commitment of the committee members," states ALGOP Financial Oversight Committee Chairman Mack Butler. "We have a good group in place, and I look forward to working together as we carry out the responsibilities entrusted to us.”

The Financial Oversight Committee is required to meet quarterly.
