ALGOP Legislative Recap – Weeks 10 and 11

From the Alabama Republican Party

As the Alabama Legislature enters the final week of the 2026 Regular Session, lawmakers are working to finalize remaining legislation before Sine Die adjournment.
The Alabama Republican Party’s top legislative priority—the SAVE Act—will be in committee this morning. This legislation would establish party registration in Alabama. With limited time remaining in the session, this represents the final opportunity for the bill to advance out of committee and move to the Senate floor for consideration.
In addition, both the General Fund Budget and the Education Trust Fund Budget have passed the Legislature and have been sent to Governor Kay Ivey for her signature. These budgets finalize funding for state government operations and public education for the upcoming fiscal year.
A significant number of bills also passed the House and Senate during Weeks Ten and Eleven and are continuing through the legislative process.
Below, you will find the full list of legislation that passed each chamber during this period.
As always, you can view and download PDF versions of each chamber’s report by clicking on the images provided.
Thank you for your continued support.
Moving Alabama forward together,
