Allen Launches First Lt. Governor Campaign Ad
Secretary of State Wes Allen highlights record, Trump praise in his first TV ad of 2026 Lt. Governor race
Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen has launched his first television advertising campaign of the 2026 election cycle, rolling out a 30-second spot titled “Great” as he seeks the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor.
The ad centers on Allen’s record in office, highlighting a series of conservative policy actions tied to election administration. According to the campaign, the commercial points to measures such as banning curbside voting and efforts targeting absentee ballot application fraud. It also references actions that the campaign says contributed to arrests related to election crimes.
Allen’s campaign also leans on national support, featuring praise from former President Donald Trump. The ad cites both a letter of support and a public mention during remarks Trump delivered at the University of Alabama, where Trump called him “great people.”
In a statement accompanying the ad release, Allen framed the race as a test of record over rhetoric.
“I have said from the beginning that the race to become Alabama’s next Republican Lt. Governor is not about rhetoric, it’s about a strong conservative record,” Allen explained. “I am the only person running for this position that has drafted and passed conservative legislation. I am the only candidate that has saved taxpayers $2 million by cutting wasteful spending. I am the only candidate that has fought the liberal agenda and won every single time. This is an important position and we need more than talk. Alabama voters want someone with a strong conservative, proven record.”
The ad marks Allen’s first major paid media push in what has already become a highly competitive Republican primary.
