Bama Carry Endorses Andrew Sorrell for Alabama Secretary of State
Group lauded Sorrell’s proven track record as 2nd Amendment advocate in endorsement
Bama Carry, Alabama’s most prominent 2nd Amendment advocacy group, has endorsed Andrew Sorrell in the race to become Alabama’s next Secretary of State.
In their endorsement statement, Bama Carry said:
“Alabama, it's time to take a stand for our rights and our future! Andrew Sorrell, our trusted State Auditor and former State Representative for District 3, is running for Secretary of State—and he is the leader we need!
“With a proven track record as a strong advocate for the 2nd Amendment, Andrew has tirelessly fought for our freedoms and stood side by side with BamaCarry.
“Andrew was instrumental in passing the permitless carry bill, empowering Alabamians to protect themselves and their loved ones.
“Now, more than ever, we need a Secretary of State who embodies our values and champions our rights. Andrew Sorrell is that leader-committed to transparency, integrity, and the protection of our constitutional freedoms.
“Let's unite as a community to support a candidate who truly understands us and fights for our rights. Your voice matters— every vote counts! This election is our chance to secure a brighter future for Alabama.”
In accepting the endorsement, Sorrell told ALPolitics.com:
“BamaCarry stands strong for the Second Amendment and is the most active and vocal pro-gun group operating in Alabama, so their endorsement carries tremendous weight. As the original sponsor of Alabama’s constitutional carry law, I fought hard in the Legislature to protect our gun rights, and I will keep speaking out in defense of those rights as Secretary of State.”
Sorrell will face Caroleene Dobson in the May 19 Republican primary.
