Barry Moore Calls Trump Peace Deal “Amazing”—Trump Returns the Sentiment
“His historic peace deal is "awesome." He is truly the leader of the free world”—Barry Moore

U. S. Representative Barry Moore (AL1) recently posted to Facebook about his exchange with President Donald Trump regarding the Gaza peace deal engineered by the President.
Moore said in his post:
“I text Donald J. Trump a few days ago and told him I thought the agreement he was pulling together for the release of the hostages was amazing ! …well today he completed one of the greatest victories in peace through diplomacy in our lifetime. Then he took a screenshot of the text and sent it back. Congratulations #POTUS #Israel #PeaceThroughStrength
The President responded, “So are you!”:

ALPolitics.com reached out to Moore for further comment on the exchange, and Moore told us that:
“I’ve known President Trump for nearly a decade, and I’ve always respected his courage to stand up for the American people when it wasn’t easy. I was proud to be the first elected official to endorse him back in 2015 and I’m just as proud to call him a friend today.
"His historic peace deal is "awesome." He is truly the leader of the free world. He brought the hostages home and brokered peace in the middle east.
“I look forward to continuing my work with President Trump in Congress and when elected to the U.S. Senate."
Moore was the first elected official in the nation to endorse Trump in 2015, and has been a firm supporter of him and his policies ever since. Moore is now seeking the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Tommy Tuberville, who is running for Governor of Alabama.
In his Senate campaign launch video, Moore said:
“I’m running for Senate because the people of Alabama deserve a Trump conservative and a working man who will defend their freedoms. As the first elected official in the country to endorse President Trump, I will have his back and defend the MAGA agenda in the Senate, just like I have as a member of the Freedom Caucus in the House of Representatives. We have a lot to do in Washington to help President Trump get our country back on track, and my record shows I’ll never clock out when there is work to be done. It’s time to fight and advance the America First agenda.”
Moore will be facing a crowded field in the May 19, 2026 Republican Senate primary, including Steve Marshall, Jared Hudson, Morgan Murphy, Rodney Walker and possibly Paul Finebaum.
