Barry Moore Stands Tall in the Face of Liberal Disruption at Daphne Town Hall
"Alabamians deserve leaders who are willing to have tough conversations. I’ll always answer to the folks I serve. That’s what accountability looks like." - Rep. Moore

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore didn’t back down Wednesday night when liberal activists tried to hijack a town hall meeting in Daphne.
Moore, a proud Trump conservative from Enterprise and member of the House Freedom Caucus, faced a rowdy group of protesters at Daphne City Hall. The crowd — many connected to progressive groups like Indivisible Baldwin County and local Democrats — booed and heckled as Moore defended President Donald Trump’s America First agenda and his own conservative record.
Despite the disruptions, Moore stood firm. He spoke to AL.com after the event:
“My constituents asked me to do town halls, so I did four across my district while Congress was out of session. We showed up, listened, and answered questions directly. Alabamians deserve leaders who are willing to have tough conversations. I’ll always answer to the folks I serve. That’s what accountability looks like," said Rep. Moore.
Standing Up for Conservative Values
Throughout the 45-minute meeting, Moore was pressed on issues ranging from border security and election integrity to the Trump tax cuts and abortion. Each time, he reaffirmed his commitment to conservative principles.
When asked about the Trump tax cuts, Moore reminded the crowd that families on Social Security and working Alabamians benefited directly. His answer drew boos from the left-leaning crowd, but Moore refused to retreat.
On abortion, Moore remained clear and unwavering: “I am pro-life.” That straightforward answer sparked the loudest outburst of the night from liberal activists, but it also underscored Moore’s resolve to defend the unborn.
Liberals Try to Obstruct, Moore Pushes Forward
The event, which Democrats spread across social media in an effort to pack the room, mirrored similar disruptions faced by Republicans nationwide. Rather than engage in honest discussion, many in the audience admitted their goal was to “shame” Moore for his policies.
Even so, Moore found some common ground with attendees when he voiced opposition to erasing history and defended Alabama’s right to control its own redistricting process through the Legislature, not unelected judges.
A Fighter for Alabama
Moore, who recently announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate, reminded voters why he has earned a reputation as one of the strongest conservatives in Congress. He has consistently stood with President Trump, fought to secure the border, defended religious liberty, and opposed the overreach of Washington’s liberal agenda.
Alabama’s 1st Congressional District, one of the most conservative in the country, sent Moore to Washington to represent their values — and last night in Daphne, he showed exactly why.
Barry Moore didn’t run from the boos, the hecklers, or the left-wing theatrics. He stood tall, told the truth, and proved once again that he’s a fighter for Alabama and a champion for conservative principles.
