Barry Moore Surges into Lead in Alabama Senate Race
A new poll conducted by Peak Insights and reported exclusively by Breitbart News places Moore at the top of the Republican primary field
Alabama Republican U.S. Rep. Barry Moore has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination for United States Senate, fueled by a surge in polling support and a commanding fundraising advantage over his opponents. Recent polling shows Moore leading the Republican field after receiving the endorsement of President Donald Trump, while new campaign finance reports confirm he has nearly doubled the fundraising totals of his closest competitors and built a substantial cash advantage heading into 2026.
A new poll conducted by Peak Insights and reported exclusively by Breitbart News places Moore at the top of the Republican primary field when voters are informed of President Trump’s endorsement. In the survey of likely Republican primary voters, Moore captured 33 percent support, well ahead of Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who polled at 18 percent. Businessman Jared Hudson followed with 11 percent, while more than 30 percent of respondents said they were still undecided. The poll showed Moore leading in every congressional district and media market across Alabama when Trump’s endorsement was included, reinforcing the President’s continued influence with Republican voters in the state.
Moore, a conservative lawmaker and early Trump ally, launched his Senate campaign in August 2025 following Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s decision to run for governor. Since entering the race, Moore has positioned himself as an America First conservative with deep working-class roots, military service, and one of the strongest conservative voting records in Congress. His campaign has emphasized grassroots support and alignment with President Trump’s agenda as central pillars of its strategy.
That momentum is clearly reflected in Moore’s fundraising performance. According to Federal Election Commission filings analyzed by Yellowhammer News, Moore raised $580,436.71 during the fourth quarter, leading the Senate field and putting him nearly double ahead of his closest Republican rivals. Just as notable, Moore reported $842,219.99 in cash on hand, giving his campaign a significant financial edge as the race moves into its most competitive phase.
Political observers note that strong early fundraising and cash on hand are key indicators of organizational strength, message discipline, and voter enthusiasm, particularly in crowded Republican primaries. With a polling lead tied directly to President Trump’s endorsement and a dominant fundraising position backed by hard numbers, Moore enters the early months of 2026 in a strong strategic position as Republican voters begin to narrow the field ahead of the May primary.
