ProgressPAC endorses Henry County leader David Money for Alabama House District 85, citing service, leadership, pro-growth focus
ProgressPAC, the political action committee of the Business Council of Alabama, has endorsed David Money in the Republican primary for Alabama House District 85, which includes portions of Henry and Houston Counties. The endorsement highlights Money’s long record of public service and commitment to community growth in southeast Alabama.
ProgressPAC pointed to Money’s experience in Henry County as a key reason for its support. He served as Henry County Probate Judge and as Chairman of the Henry County Commission, earning praise for his integrity, accountability and hands-on leadership.
“David Money understands that effective government starts with listening and follows through with action,” said ProgressPAC Chairman Kevin Savoy in the announcement. “His experience leading at the local level gives him a clear understanding of the issues facing Alabama communities, from workforce development to responsible government operations. We are confident he will be a strong, practical voice for pro-growth policies in the State House.”
In addition to his public service, ProgressPAC noted Money’s background as a business owner. The organization said that his real-world understanding of employer challenges informs his approach to economic and workforce development.
“The Wiregrass can count on David to bring the kind of steady, service-driven leadership that supports Alabama’s economic growth,” said BCA President and CEO Helena Duncan. “He knows firsthand how smart policy decisions impact businesses, workers, and families, and he has a proven record of serving with honesty and accountability. ProgressPAC is proud to support a candidate who will be a reliable pro-business partner in Montgomery.”
ProgressPAC’s mission is to support pro-business leaders who promote economic opportunity and a strong business climate in the state. The Business Council of Alabama, founded in 1985, represents the voice of Alabama’s business community and works to elect candidates committed to fostering growth and job creation.
With qualifying for the 2026 primary nearing its close on January 23, Money is set to face incumbent Rick Rehm in the May 19 Republican primary.
