BeefPAC Backs Wes Allen for Alabama Lieutenant Governor
“Wes has a proven, conservative, business-friendly track record,”—Alabama Cattlemen’s Association President Keith Glover
Alabama BeefPAC, the political arm of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association, this week threw its support behind Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen in his bid for Lieutenant Governor.
The endorsement highlights Allen’s record on conservative and business-friendly priorities and his alignment with issues important to the State’s cattle producers. “Wes has a proven, conservative, business-friendly track record,” said Alabama Cattlemen’s Association President Keith Glover of Hale County. “We are confident his experience in various political roles has prepared him to lead our State and carry out priorities important to Alabama agriculture.”
Allen thanked cattle producers for their support.
“I am incredibly honored to receive the support of the hardworking men and women from across this State that raise the cattle that feed us,” Allen said in a statement. “Food security is national security. By supporting thousands of jobs and contributing more than $2.5 billion to Alabama’s economy, the State’s beef cattle industry plays a vital role in agriculture—Alabama’s leading economic driver.”
BeefPAC’s announcement comes amid a flurry of endorsements Allen has picked up across Alabama’s business and agricultural community. He has been backed by the Alabama Farmers Federation through its FarmPAC, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama, Manufacture Alabama, the Alabama Forestry Association, the Business Council of Alabama, and the Alabama Trucking Association.
The campaign has also drawn support from members of the legislative and law enforcement communities, including a large number of GOP Sheriffs.
Though the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association itself does not issue direct candidate endorsements, BeefPAC serves as its political arm and makes independent decisions on who to support in key races.
The Republican primary for lieutenant governor is set for May 19, 2026.
