U.S. Senator Katie Britt used President Donald Trump’s Friday night rally in Mobile to tout the administration’s record in Alabama and warn Republicans that control of Congress is at stake on Nov. 3.

Speaking before Trump took the stage at the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell Center, Britt welcomed the President back to the State where his first presidential campaign drew a massive crowd in 2015.

“How incredible is it to be here to welcome President Donald J. Trump?” Britt asked the crowd. “Alabama has been behind you from the very start.”

“Look, from no tax on tips to no tax on overtime to no tax on Social Security. He did that with not one Democratic vote. Every single Democrat voted against that,” Britt said. “President Trump wanted to put more money back in your pocket.”

She also highlighted the administration’s actions in Alabama, including U.S. Space Command in Huntsville and new investment in shipbuilding. Britt had spent part of Friday at the groundbreaking for the $3.2 billion Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project alongside Governor Kay Ivey, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.

“President Trump has delivered. Alabama loves you, and we are proud to stand with you,” Britt told the crowd.

From there, Britt turned almost all of her attention to the Nov. 3 midterm elections.

“Let me tell you the difference between Republicans and Democrats on the ballot this year. It could not be more stark. Basically, it’s the difference in common sense and crazy, right?” she said.

Britt called the Democratic field “the most radical group of candidates this country has ever seen” and argued that control of Congress carries unusually high stakes.

“That’s why holding the majority in the Senate and in the House isn’t just critical; it is actually existential to the nation as we know it,” Britt said.

She attacked Democrats on gender policy, women’s sports, illegal immigration, voter ID, spending and the size of government.

“They support sterilization and gender surgeries for children,” Britt said. “They support men in women’s sports. Republicans will stand firm ensuring our daughters have safety and have the ability to compete fairly.”

Britt also accused Democrats of moving well outside the political mainstream, citing positions held by the Democratic Socialists of America and comments made by streamer Hasan Piker.

“This is not a difference of opinion. This is a difference in our American values,” Britt said. “These candidates will take our nation in a direction that is undeniably un-American.”

She closed with a direct call for Republicans to turn out and to spend the next month pushing friends, neighbors and fellow church members to vote.

“So here’s what everyone here can do. Between now and November, I want you to talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to your friends, both in your community and in other cities. I want you to talk to who you sit next to at church on Sunday, and vote,” Britt said. “We cannot sit this one out. Our children are watching, and their future is at stake.”

“Stand up on November 3 for less government, lower taxes, and more freedoms and liberty. And on November 3, stand up for this nation, the values that we know make this nation so special, and have the next generation’s back,” she added.

Britt ended with a simple message for Alabama Republicans: “Alabama is a critical part of making this happen. Let’s keep the Senate. Let’s keep Alabama red, and let’s keep America great.”
