Call to Municipal Candidates—We Want To Give You A Platform To Be Heard!
It’s not too late, but the clock is ticking

Last week, ALpolitics.com issued a Call for Candidates across the State to submit a 400-500 word OpEd to ALPolitics.com for publication.
Some of you already have, and still more are planning to do so.
ALPolitics.com continues to offer all our local municipal candidates the opportunity to submit an OpEd for publication on this site and on our social media platforms.
Here’s what you’ll need to submit:
- A short piece on why Alabama voters should invest their precious vote in YOU
- A headshot, in landscape mode, preferably in 16x9 or 4x5 size (if you don’t understand what that means, ask a high school kid—they will)
- A contact link to your campaign website or social media, so people can learn more about you
You can see last week’s Call if you need more information. Send submissions to:

At ALPolitics.com, we believe that all politics are local. We believe that voters deserve to be fully informed about the candidates. We believe that everyone has a right to be heard, in their own words and with their own voice.
Finally, we believe that the First Amendment, buttressed by the Second, is the cornerstone of our Republic.
We reserve the right to reject any and all submissions for any reason, without comment, notification or explanation. That being said, we haven’t bounced a candidate yet, and will try not to.
We can’t promise to publish every one, but we will promise to try—unless you wait until the Friday afternoon right before the election, in which case, FORGET IT!
The clock is ticking. Once again, send your submissions to:
