Marion, AL — Chad Moore, a lifelong resident of Marion and dedicated first responder, has officially qualified to run for Mayor in the upcoming municipal election. With a bold vision for transparency, revitalization, and stronger city services, Moore is launching a campaign centered around the message: "A Mayor for All on Day 1."
Moore currently serves Perry County as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), responding daily to the needs of families across the community. "As a first responder, I've been in every neighborhood, heard every concern, and seen firsthand the struggles many of our residents face," Moore said. "Now I'm stepping up to bring real solutions to City Hall — solutions that work for all of us, not just a few."
Moore is positioning himself as a candidate with both youthful energy and a deep understanding of Marion's challenges. His platform includes:
- Fixing Marion's water and sewer infrastructure.
- Strengthening public safety through smart partnerships with the county sheriff's office,
- Supporting local jobs and livable wages for city employees.
- Revitalizing youth programs, parks, and public spaces.
Moore says his campaign is rooted in listening to the people. He has already begun knocking on doors across the city and speaking directly with voters about their concerns. "I don't want to lead from behind a desk — I want to lead side by side with the people of Marion," he said.
He also emphasized the need for greater accountability and fiscal responsibility. "For too long, politics in Marion has been about who you know or how long you've been around. I'm offering a new way that values results over rhetoric, and people over politics."
The election for Mayor of Marion is set for Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Moore encourages all eligible voters to make their voices heard.
