Cherokee County Ag Leaders Andy and Wae Ellis Endorse Rodney Walker for U.S. Senate
Endorsement by Ellis Ag shows Walker’s support among Alabama farmers
Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Rodney Walker has secured the endorsement of Andy and Wae Ellis, two of Cherokee County’s largest cotton farmers, adding fuel to his campaign’s push among rural voters.
“In all my years I’ve never seen my dad endorse anyone for any office. For him to endorse you is a huge statement, and I fully endorse you also,” Wae Ellis said, addressing Walker publicly via social media.
Walker responded with gratitude and a promise of support. “Thank you to the Ellis family for your trust and support. Your endorsement means the world to us and to the hardworking folks of Cherokee County. As a farmer and business owner myself, I understand the challenges families face in agriculture, and I will fight to support our farmers and rural communities.”
The Ellis family has a longstanding history of agricultural leadership in Alabama. They are another addition to a growing list of endorsements for the Walker campaign in Alabama, including 2017 Alabama Farmer of the Year.
