Conservative businesswoman and fifth-generation farmer Christina Woerner McInnis has reported a strong first month of fundraising in her campaign for Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture & Industries, raising $114,750 since fundraising began on May 19. As of the most recent campaign filings, she has a larger war chest than another other declared candidate in the race.

"We're honored and encouraged by the strong support we've received from across Alabama," said McInnis. "This campaign is rooted in faith, hard work, and a commitment to serving our communities, protecting Alabama farmland, and helping our farmers grow their businesses."

McInnis, a Baldwin County native, is no stranger to Alabama agriculture. She was raised in the Woerner family, one of the state's most recognized agricultural names, and has built a career focused on innovation in farming and soil health. As founder of AgriTech Corp and creator of SoilKit, she has worked to make science-based soil analysis accessible for farmers, landowners, and homeowners alike.

In addition to her business success, McInnis was honored in 2023 with the Alabama Rural-Owned Small Business of the Year Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

"As Commissioner, I'll be focused on strengthening the backbone of our State, our farmers, our producers and our ag-related industries like our ports and processors," McInnis said. "That means cutting red tape, and keeping Alabama agriculture competitive, sustainable, scalable and strong for generations to come."

McInnis is currently facing two other opponents, Cory L. Hill and Jack Williams, in the Republican primary on May 19, 2026. No Democrats have made campaign filings with the Alabama Secretary of State’s website as of this writing.

Christina and her husband, Timothy, live in Orange Beach with their four children.
