Congressional Candidate Terri LaPoint Signs Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge
Republican LaPoint is running in Alabama’s 3rd District

Congressional candidate Terri LaPoint has signed the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge, in support of parental rights and clear governance.
LaPoint signed the Pledge at the recent Moms for Liberty event in Huntsville, which hosted Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
LaPoint, known for championing “family freedom,” signed her name to the Pledge in a public act of support for parental authority and clear governance. Joining a movement that calls for increased transparency in education and healthcare, she shared her motivations:
“I signed the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge because I believe parents—not bureaucrats or government agencies—are best equipped to raise, guide, and protect their children,” said LaPoint. “As a mother, a journalist, and a fierce defender of liberty, I will never stop fighting for the family. In Congress, I’ll work to defend parental rights and restore transparency, truth, and common sense in every level of our education and health systems.”
LaPoint’s endorsement of the Parent Pledge is especially significant. She authored Alabama’s first resolution in support of the 2023 Parental Rights law—underscoring her long-standing dedication to these values.
The Pledge affirms Parents’ Rights regarding their children’s upbringing, education, medical care, and moral guidance. LaPoint has pledged to uphold these principles if elected to represent District 3.
Emily Jones, Chapter Chair of Moms for Liberty in Madison County, praised LaPoint on signing the Pledge:
“Terri LaPoint is exactly the kind of bold leader we need in Washington. She understands that the fight for parental rights is about the future of our children and the soul of our nation. We are proud to have her sign the Parent Pledge and stand shoulder to shoulder with parents across Alabama.”
The Parent Pledge has already drawn signatures from thousands nationwide, gaining momentum among officials and candidates at all levels.
