David Perry: the Right Republican Candidate in AL-7

I believe in the 7th Congressional District of Alabama.  I also believe our district is primed to vote for a Republican and finally defeat Terri Sewell.  But we must have the right candidate.

I am writing this today to tell you why I support David Wayne Perry as our Republican candidate for Congress, in Congressional District 7.

I met David when I ran for Congress, in the 7th District against Terri Sewell, in 2024.  David had a campaign event for me at his church in Selma. 

David Perry is a veteran, a farmer, a minister, and he runs a program for young men who have gotten into serious life-altering trouble.  These are young men that aren’t labelled “at-risk”; these are young men who have already gotten into serious trouble—young men that most in our society have given up on.  I met some of these young men, who credited David Perry with not only helping them find the Lord but to help get their lives back on the right path.  

David was born and raised in the Black Belt of Alabama.  He is a man committed to bringing our District to the top economically.  He understands the part that education, growth of small businesses, farming, logging, the cattle industry, catfish farming, and a host of other economic ventures will play in making CD7 a thriving part of our State.  He understands how the current incomplete corridor will make a huge difference in the economy of CD7.  David is prepared to make sure that Congressional oversight is ongoing and is a vital part of any appropriated Federal money.  After all, that’s your taxpayer dollars.  Awarding government checks with no assurance that the projects are done will come to an end with him as our next Congressman.  

The fact that many in our district have to purchase every bit of water they drink and cook with is a travesty that no one in this country should have to endure.  Straight-line piping, sewage bubbling up in the streets, toxic landfills, and the threat of data centers is all just commonplace for those who live in the forgotten Black Belt of Alabama.   

His plans are first and foremost to take District 7 to Washington—that means to bring the best and brightest from our district to Washington.  To focus, yes, on national issues, but to formulate plans to make the Federal Government work for us.  He has no plans to make Washington DC his home—he sees Washington as a place to initiate an investment in our future. 

David is part of a new culture of those who are running for office. He is not in this for a career, but instead it is because he actually cares and wants to work for the people of our District, State, and Country—This caring will resonate into action.  I believe he is the person that can move our district to new heights.  

David actually lives, was raised, and works in CD7.  I believe David Perry will be a champion for all people of CD7.  

Please vote for David Wayne Perry on August 11th.  This time, someone really cares about you and not a political career.
