Davidson Announces Baldwin County Alabama House Run
Elijah Davidson will be seeking the Republican nomination in Alabama's House District 95
Elijah Davidson has announced his campaign in the Republican primary on May 19 for Alabama House District 95.
In his campaign announcement, Davidson said:
“I am excited to announce my campaign to represent Alabama House District 95 in Montgomery as its State Representative. I believe the people affected most by decisions made in Montgomery should have a Representative who understands their struggles.
“As a former public school student, a recent college graduate, and a young person trying to afford a home and build a life, I believe that I can be a voice not only for Alabama's next generation but for every hardworking Alabamian who is struggling to make ends meet and feels ignored by political leaders.
“If elected, I will relentlessly fight for policies that make people's lives significantly better. With God's help, I look forward to earning your trust and going to Montgomery to help make Alabama better.”
22 year old Davidson is a lifelong resident of South Baldwin County whose prior political experience includes leading the Turning Point USA chapter at Gulf Shores High School (which became the largest in the nation) and working for former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Davidson describes his top priorities as affordability and lowering the cost of living for all Alabamians. He is also running to implement term limits, reduce State legislators’ salaries, combat “good ol’ boy” politics, protect South Baldwin County’s coastal environment from harmful development practices, and support young people who are trying to buy their first home.
Davidson will face incumbent Frances Holk-Jones and businessman Joe Freeman in the May 19 Republican primary.
