Dixon Calls on Palmer to Publicly Demand Bondi Testify
“Pam Bondi must answer for her handling of the Epstein files. If not, oversight means nothing”—Case Dixon

Hueytown, AL— Congressional candidate Case Dixon today called for full accountability regarding Pam Bondi’s handling of the Epstein files after she was subpoenaed to appear before Congress, but the Department of Justice stated she will not testify followingher departure from office.
“Public office carries public accountability. Former officials are not exempt,” Dixon said. “Pam Bondi must answer for her handling of the Epstein files. If not, oversight means nothing.”
Dixon noted that several members of Congress have stated Bondi was subpoenaed in her personal capacity, while the Department of Justice argues the subpoena applied to her official role and therefore no longer requires her to appear.
“Regardless of how it’s being argued legally, the expectation should be the same,” Dixon said. “If you exercised federal power, you should answer for how it was used. The American people deserve transparency.”
Dixon emphasized that congressional oversight is a core function of the legislative branch, used to gather facts, inform legislation, and hold executive officials accountable.
“That responsibility does not disappear simply because someone leaves office,” Dixon said.
Dixon then called on his opponent, Representative Gary Palmer, a member of the House Oversight Committee, to take a clear and public position.
“My opponent Gary Palmer sits on the House Oversight Committee,” Dixon said “If Gary truly cares about justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, he should say it publicly and without hesitation: Pam Bondi must testify. If he won’t say it, that tells you everything.”
Dixon concluded by underscoring the stakes.
“If Congress does not demand answers in a case like this, then oversight loses its meaning,” Dixon said.
