Hueytown, AL — After Democrats secured key wins in major races Tuesday night — including New York City electing self-proclaimed socialist Zohran Mamdani as mayor — Republican U.S. House candidate Case Dixon warned that Republicans will continue losing elections if the party fails to prioritize the economic struggles crushing working families.

"Last night's elections sent a loud message. When Republicans ignore the economy, voters ignore Republicans. We need to heed the warning shot. My opponent isn't up to the task. If we want to win in 2028, AL-6 needs a representative who gets it."

Dixon also pointed to Democratic victories in competitive states Republicans must win to secure the next presidential election as evidence that voters are demanding real solutions to inflation, high interest rates, and the skyrocketing cost of everyday essentials. He argued that even with a Republican back in the White House and the party controlling the House and Senate, too many in Washington still seem detached from the financial pressure families face — and voters are responding.

"People are asking for relief," Dixon said. "When a family's grocery bill keeps climbing and housing doesn't get more affordable, they look for leaders who take that seriously. Too often, Republicans in Congress focus on all the wrong things — and last night, voters made that clear."

Dixon continued, "We're spending too much time looking overseas and making fun of Democrats online while families here at home are just trying to keep up. And while my opponent keeps his head down, that's part of the problem. AL-6 needs a representative who's willing to stand up and fight for his constituents."

Dixon emphasized that the GOP must reset its priorities now, noting that the direction of the party in 2027 will heavily shape the outcome of the 2028 presidential election. He says Alabama has a choice: keep a representative who ignores the economic struggles of the people he serves, or elect someone who will confront those challenges head-on.

"We can course-correct before 2028," Dixon said. "But we won't do it with the same career politicians pretending nothing is wrong. AL-6 deserves a representative who isn't afraid to tell the truth and fight like it matters — because it does."
