Donna Givens to Host Montgomery Reception Dec. 17
Alabama House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter will be special guest
Alabama State Representative Donna Givens (R-Loxley) will be hosting a reception and fundraiser for her reelection campaign to the Alabama House on Thursday, December 17.
The reception will begin at 4:00 PM, and will be held at ACG Montgomery, 6987 Halcyon Park Dr., Montgomery, AL 36117.
Speaker of the Alabama House Nathaniel Ledbetter will be Given’s special guest, and is expected to briefly speak about the upcoming legislative session, which begins January 13, 2026.

Givens is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing House District 64, which covers parts of Baldwin and Monroe Counties, including Loxley, Foley, Robertsdale, Bay Minette and surrounding communities. She was elected in November 2022 and took office that same month.
A lifelong resident of Baldwin County, Givens graduated from Robertsdale High School and Mobile College (now the University of Mobile) before embarking on a 47-year career with Baldwin Electric Membership Corporation (EMC), retiring in 2021. During her time with Baldwin EMC, she focused on governmental affairs, economic development and community service, building deep ties with local leaders and state officials.
Before her election, Givens was active in civic and business organizations across the county, serving as Chair of both the North and Central Baldwin Chambers of Commerce and on the Board of the South Baldwin Chamber and the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. She has also been appointed to leadership roles on State boards by multiple Governors.
In the Legislature, she holds key committee assignments, including Vice Chair of the House Committee on Baldwin County Legislation and memberships on committees spanning transportation, infrastructure, local legislation and ports and waterways.
As a lawmaker, Givens has championed conservative priorities, including strengthening penalties for child traffickers and working on public safety and protections for public officials and their families.
Givens lives in Loxley with her husband, Alton. The couple has four children and seven grandchildren.
