I’ve seen violence up close. As a Navy SEAL, I fought terrorists overseas. Through my work with Covenant Rescue Group, I’ve taken down predators and human traffickers here at home. I know all too well what evil looks like — and what happens when leaders refuse to confront it.

Now that same evil is spilling into our neighborhoods. Innocent people are being murdered. Families are being shattered. But too many politicians care more about their own power than protecting the people they serve. Enough is enough.

Last weekend in Auburn, Julie Gard Schnuelle, a retired professor, was brutally stabbed to death while out walking her dog. Not long before that, an innocent young woman, Iryna Zarutska, was murdered on light rail in Charlotte. She survived and escaped the war in Ukraine but could not survive the anarchy that our leaders allow here in America. In Utah on Wednesday, Charlie Kirk was assassinated in cold blood for the crime of peacefully speaking his mind as a conservative. And last month in Minneapolis, elementary schoolers were murdered by a lunatic as they prayed in church with their classmates. Four different cities. Five innocent lives. Families forever changed.

Horrific violence happens to innocent Americans every single day. Especially in liberal cities, we see the same story over and over again: violent offenders are released back on the streets, criminals are given endless chances and police are stripped of the support they need to do their jobs. This is not “empathy” or “social justice.” It is betrayal. It betrays the people who follow the law, raise their families and just want to live in peace. It betrays the very idea of America as a nation of laws. Our citizens’ right to live in peace, without fear, must take precedence over fourth, fifth and sixth chances for repeat violent offenders who are beyond rehabilitation.

I’m not running for Senate to climb a political ladder, pull my punches and cling to the job for life. I’m running to be a warrior for Alabama families who deserve to be safe in their homes, safe in their schools and safe in their communities. My loyalty is, and always will be, to the people of Alabama. Just as I answered the call to serve, protect and defend this country in uniform, I am answering the call again now. The radical left has made our streets less safe. I intend to fight them with the same determination I carried into combat and the same grit I’ve shown as a law enforcement officer taking on crime here at home.

When I get to Washington, I will stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump and push back on every liberal soft-on-crime policy that puts our families at risk. I will fight to stop the shedding of innocent blood, hold violent criminals accountable and get law enforcement all the resources and backing they need. I will never allow the career politicians to treat the safety of Alabama families as an afterthought. My mission is simple: restore safety, restore justice and restore peace of mind to the people I serve.

The people of this great state deserve better than excuses. They deserve leaders, like President Trump, who put their safety above political games. I’ve spent my life fighting for this country, and now I’m ready to take that same fight to Washington. Alabama doesn’t need another smooth-talking politician, it needs a warrior who will stand with President Trump, never back down, never bow to the radical left, and never stop fighting for the people of this state. Enough is enough. It’s time to crush evil.

Hudson, a former Navy SEAL and Founder and CEO of Covenant Rescue Group is running on a conservative platform to “help President Trump secure the border, crush the woke agenda, and defend our Christian values.”
