Birmingham, AL - Today, Katherine Robertson, Republican candidate for Alabama Attorney General, announced the endorsement of Escambia County Sheriff Heath Jackson. Sheriff Jackson, a respected law enforcement leader known for his commitment to public safety and his 2025 recognition as
Alabama Sheriff of the Year, praised Robertson's longstanding support for officers on the front lines.

"I am proud to endorse my friend, Katherine Robertson, for Attorney General," said Sheriff Heath Jackson. "Throughout her tenure at the AG's Office, she has always looked out for law enforcement and has been just a phone call away. No matter the issue, big or small, she is always willing to help. Robertson's work as Chief Consel to the Attorney General for the past ten years has directly supported sheriffs and officers across the state in tackling crime, protecting communities, and upholding the rule of law; a record of service that has earned her the support of law enforcement leaders from every corner of the state.

In addition to Sheriff Jackson's endorsement, Robertson has now earned the support of 23 other active law enforcement leaders, the Republican Attorneys General Association, the Alabama Farmers Federation, the Alabama Forestry Association, the Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama,
the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama, as well as support from the Alabama Cattlemen Association's BEEF PAC.

Robertson will face Jay Mitchell, former Alabama Supreme Court Justice, and Pamela Casey, Blount County District Attorney, in the Republican primary on May 19, 2026.
