This Veterans Day, I had the privilege of hearing Jared Hudson speak before a packed house at the Republican Club of Central Alabama. I can honestly say it was one of the most powerful and heartfelt speeches I have heard in years. Jared didn’t talk about politics; he talked about purpose. He talked about faith, family, and freedom, and he reminded us what real leadership looks like in a time when our nation desperately needs it.

Jared Hudson’s story is the Alabama story. A decorated Navy SEAL, a devoted husband and father, and a man of unwavering Christian faith, Jared has spent his life living out the words service and sacrifice. As he told the crowd, “From SEAL Team missions to rescuing trafficking victims, my entire life has been about service and sacrifice.” That is not campaign rhetoric. That is who he is.

When Jared speaks about faith, he doesn’t do it for applause. He speaks as a man guided by grace, the kind of faith that carried him through combat overseas and through the challenges of helping rescue the innocent from the evils of human trafficking here at home and arresting the perpetrators. His work saving lives through his ministry and nonprofit is more than admirable; it reflects what it means to serve God first and country always.

When Jared speaks about family, he speaks as a husband and father who understands that strong families are the foundation of a strong America. He is not ashamed to say that Alabama’s future depends on serving Christ, protecting our children, honoring marriage, and keeping parents, not bureaucrats, in charge of raising the next generation.

And when he speaks about freedom, he speaks as someone who has fought to defend it with courage, conviction, and a clear understanding of what is at stake. Jared reminded everyone that freedom is never free, and that those who take it for granted dishonor the sacrifices of those who gave everything for it.

What struck me most  was when Jared spoke about his brothers in arms, the men he served alongside in the SEAL Team. He said, “I served with men who took a bullet for our country, and I still will.” Those words cut straight to the heart. They were not said for effect. They came from a man who has lived it, a man who knows what it means to risk everything for something greater than himself. Jared Hudson’s courage did not end when he came home from war. It continues today in his fight to defend the values and freedoms those men died protecting.

Jared’s message at the Republican Club was simple but profound. America does not need more politicians. We need servants. We need men and women who live their values, not just talk about them. We need leaders who will stand up to Washington’s so-called “woke agenda,” defend our borders, protect our Constitution, and put Alabama and America First every single day.

As Jared stated, “Our nation can overcome any challenge if we return to what made us great, faith in God, strong families, and a love of freedom that no government can take away.”

That is the message America needs to hear. That is the spirit that built this country. And that is the leadership we will get from Jared Hudson.

On Veterans Day, Jared reminded us that real courage does not come from a title. It comes from the heart. He has already fought for our country once. Now he is stepping up to fight for our future.

God bless our veterans. God bless Jared Hudson. And God bless the United States of America.
