February Newsletter from Rep. Dale Strong
February Update from the office of Congressman Dale Strong (R-AL-05)
From the office of Congressman Dale Strong (R-AL-05)
February was a busy month in North Alabama and in our nation's capital.
The President delivered the State of the Union address, outlining his vision for our nation in the year ahead. Under President Trump’s leadership and with the partnership of House Republicans, America is once again on the rise. We’ve delivered historic tax relief for working Americans, lowered inflation, rolled back burdensome Biden-era regulations, secured our southern border, and reignited job growth across the nation. Together, we’re cleaning up the mess left behind and advancing commonsense, pro-growth, pro-family policies that put the American people first.
The State of the Union is STRONG!

President Trump laid out the facts clearly for the American people: when America comes first, America prospers.
His leadership continues to put America First—lowering costs for hardworking families, rebuilding our strength at home and abroad, and restoring confidence in our future. It’s a clear and welcome contrast to the failed policies of the Biden administration.
Under President Trump, inflation is falling, mortgage rates have reached a three-year low, and gas prices are at a four-year low. Private-sector jobs are growing and working families are benefitting from historic tax relief. America is once again guided by common sense and rooted in its core values. The state of our union is strong—and growing stronger every day.

It’s always rewarding to see firsthand how our work in Washington is making a difference for the people of North Alabama. This month, I had the opportunity to witness the impact of those efforts across our district and to welcome visitors to Alabama—showcasing the strength, pride, and hospitality that make our community so special.
Investing in Rural Water Infrastructure
This month, I visited with the Rogersville Water Board to discuss the current state and future of the town’s water infrastructure. I was proud to secure them a $1.5 million investment through the FY26 appropriations process, so they can expand water capacity, pressure, and service.
Talking with Tate Farms
It was great to visit Tate Farms in Madison County as they prepare for the 2026 planting season. I’ll always support our farmers; that’s why I’m co-sponsoring H.R. 7230, the Buying American Cotton Act of 2026, to create a federal tax credit for using American-grown cotton — strengthening domestic textile manufacturing and making American cotton more competitive against lower-quality foreign cotton.
Supporting Students in Jackson County
The Kevin Dukes Career and Innovation Academy in Jackson County is setting students up for success. I visited students in the Fire Science program who are training to be the next generation of firefighters. As a lifelong volunteer firefighter, I know the importance of getting a head start with hands-on education and real-world experience. I’m impressed with how these students are building the skills and certifications they need to serve their communities with courage and professionalism after high school graduation.
Welcoming U.S. Army Secretary
Had a great time welcoming the Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll to Huntsville for the U.S. Army’s Best Drone Competition! North Alabama companies are driving innovation in unmanned systems and giving our men and women in uniform the tools they need to fight and win.
Welcoming U.S. Secretary of Labor
It was a privilege to welcome Trump’s Secretary of Labor to Huntsville for the Alabama leg of the ‘America at Work’ tour to show her how North Alabama’s workforce leads the way in aerospace and defense manufacturing. Her tour of Boeing highlighted the talent, innovation, and hard work that define our community. I appreciate the Secretary’s commitment to supporting the American workforce.
Celebrating Auburn Research Institute
I toured the Auburn University Applied Research Institute (AUARI) in Huntsville, which drives cutting-edge research in national security, defense, aerospace, and emerging technologies. I'm humbled to have secured $4.135 million in federal funding for AUARI to keep North Alabama at the forefront of mission-critical research.

As always, it is my honor to represent you in Congress.
My commitment remains to work every day on behalf of the people of District 5, to bring your voices to Washington, and to fight for the values and priorities that matter most to our community.
My team and I are here to assist you with any issue related to federal services—whether you need help with a federal agency, information about legislation, or wish to share your thoughts on the issues before Congress. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. Your input and engagement make me a better representative, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
Sincerely,
Dale Strong,
Member of Congress
