GatorPAC Backs Joshua McKee in AL-1 GOP Contest
GatorPAC has endorsed Green Beret Joshua McKee for Alabama’s 1st District, spotlighting service, security, conservative values
GatorPAC’s Veterans Leadership Fund has formally endorsed retired Green Beret Joshua McKee in the Republican primary for Alabama’s 1st Congressional District. The move adds a high-profile conservative backing to McKee’s campaign as he seeks to bring his military leadership and “America First” agenda to Washington.
GatorPAC is a federal political action committee focused on electing veterans and other conservative leaders who champion limited government, strong national defense, and constitutional liberty. Its Veterans Leadership Fund aims to support candidates whose service reflects those principles.
Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Rob Maness, a 32-year combat veteran and Chairman of GatorPAC, said McKee’s background positioned him well to represent the Gulf Coast region. “Joshua McKee is a proven warrior—a disabled Veteran with the courage, resilience, and commitment to put Alabama families first,” Maness said in the endorsement announcement. “His service in Special Forces, his unwavering faith, and his determination to drain the swamp make him the clear choice to represent Alabama’s 1st District.”
McKee, himself a decorated Army Green Beret with 25 years of service and a Bronze Star recipient, thanked Maness and GatorPAC for their support.
“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of Colonel Rob Maness and the support of GatorPAC and the Veterans Leadership Fund,” McKee said. “As a Green Beret, I learned that true leadership means putting mission and people above self. In Congress, I’ll carry that same ethos to Washington—fighting for secure borders, strong families, and the freedoms we’ve sacrificed to protect.”
McKee’s campaign emphasizes border security, fiscal responsibility, and reforming systems that affect Veterans and families across South Alabama. He has framed his run as a continuation of conservative priorities in the district, which includes Baldwin and Mobile Counties and has historically been a Republican stronghold.
The endorsement adds to those of Green Beret PAC and Border Patriot PAC, which McKee has received in recent weeks ahead of the May 19 Republican primary.
Joshua McKee lives in Baldwin County with his wife Jennifer and their family. His life story; from a broken childhood to Special Forces leadership is detailed in Built Without Applause. For more information on Joshua McKee, visit www.mckeeforcongress.com, or follow him on social media.
