GatorPAC, a political action committee led by Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Rob Maness, has endorsed Alabama businessman Rodney Walker in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. The endorsement, announced January 16, marks a notable boost for Walker as he vies for the open seat left by Senator Tommy Tuberville, who is running for Governor in 2026.

Colonel Maness, a 32-year combat veteran and Chairman of both GatorPAC and its Veterans Leadership Fund, praised Walker’s background as a self-made leader rooted in business and agriculture. “Rodney Walker is the kind of proven, self-made leader Alabama needs in the U.S. Senate,” Maness said.

Maness highlighted Walker’s rural ties and understanding of economic challenges facing Alabama’s communities. He said Walker is uniquely positioned to tackle issues such as border security, federal spending and protection of the Second Amendment. “He’s a conservative outsider ready to secure the border, cut reckless spending, protect our Second Amendment rights, and stand unapologetically for Alabama’s conservative principles,” Maness added.

GatorPAC, which focuses on supporting constitutional conservative and Veteran candidates, said it sees Walker as a candidate who will defend national security, fiscal responsibility and personal freedoms in Washington.

Walker welcomed the endorsement and tied it to his broader campaign narrative of practical leadership. “I’m honored to have the support of Colonel Rob Maness and GatorPAC,” Walker said. “As a retired combat veteran and staunch conservative, Colonel Maness knows what it takes to lead with courage and integrity.”

A lifelong Alabamian, Walker is a businessman and cattleman who officially qualified for the Republican Senate primary earlier this month. He has built several enterprises in the State and says his work has created more than 1,000 jobs.

Walker has positioned himself as an “outsider” to Washington politics, contrasting his private-sector experience with career politicians. His campaign has already rolled out a television ad emphasizing that message and his commitment to conservative priorities.

The Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
