Ken McFeeters, a veteran insurance executive and former congressional candidate, who recently entered the 2026 Alabama gubernatorial race, is positioning himself as a staunch opponent of the political establishment. With over four decades in the insurance industry and a history of political involvement, McFeeters is advocating for a return to traditional values and increased state sovereignty.

McFeeters, who co-founded PAC Insurance Agency in Hoover in 1981, has been a prominent figure in Alabama's political landscape, serving as president of the Mid-Alabama Republican Club and legislative chairman for the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents. His campaign emphasizes a commitment to challenging entrenched political interests and restoring power to everyday Alabamians.

"The question we must ask ourselves is this," McFeeters stated. "Can a candidate of the people—someone who will truly work for the interests of Alabama—defeat the establishment forces that have a stranglehold on our politics?"

A central pillar of McFeeters' platform is educational reform. He criticizes the current system for failing to teach critical thinking and life skills, asserting that it produces compliant workers rather than creative leaders. McFeeters proposes introducing former military personnel into schools to restore discipline and hiring educators who prioritize traditional values.

"Our education system is failing our children," he remarked. "Rather than teaching critical thinking, values/virtues, or life skills, our schools are churning out obedient workers trained to follow orders, not lead."

McFeeters expresses concern over what he perceives as a globalist agenda undermining American sovereignty. He highlights the decline of family farms and local food production as examples of this trend, advocating for policies that promote self-sufficiency in food, energy, and healthcare.

"If we lose the ability to feed ourselves, we lose our independence," McFeeters warned. "That's why the establishment has been systematically eradicating family farms. We need to restore local food production, secure our water and power resources, and ensure that Alabama is independent from the globalist forces that seek to control us."

McFeeters envisions an Alabama that prioritizes independence, traditional values, and resistance to external control. His platform includes:

  • Restoring independence through local food production, energy, and healthcare.
  • Reforming the education system to focus on discipline, critical thinking, and practical skills.
  • Building a pro-freedom economy that resists globalist influences.
  • Establishing a government that serves the people rather than elite interests.

"Alabama needs a governor who understands that our strength lies in our independence—our ability to feed ourselves, educate our children, and live free of globalist control," McFeeters asserted. "This isn't just about winning an election; this is about taking our state back."
