Governor Declares Statewide State of Emergency
All 67 Counties affected by Declaration

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has declared a state of emergency for all 67 ALABAMA counties due to the threat of severe weather currently in effect.
Shortly after 2 PM on Friday, the Governor posted on X (formally Twitter):
“The state of emergency—for ALL 67 counties—ahead of this weekend’s severe weather is in effect!
“Now is the time to make any preparations and have a plan, should the weather conditions become dangerous.
“Alabama, stay with aware and stay safe! #alwx #alpolitics”
All Alabamians are urged to be alert for any severe weather warnings in your immediate area.
