Health Freedom Alabama is launching a direct outreach effort at the State House, partnering with attorney Aaron Siri to place a copy of his book, Vaccines, Amen: The Religion of Vaccines, into the hands of every Alabama legislator.

Leaders with the group say the effort will go beyond a simple mailing. Each book will be hand delivered.

“We’re not just dropping them in the mail. We’re going to hand deliver every single one,” Stephanie Durnin, Director of Health Freedom Alabama said in a statement outlining the initiative.

The book draws on Siri’s legal work over the past decade, including litigation involving federal health agencies. According to Health Freedom Alabama, the text “cuts through the dogma surrounding vaccines and examines the facts,” with a focus on sworn testimony, depositions, and court records.

The group points to the book’s discussion of federal policy, including the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, and its examination of vaccine oversight in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers say the goal is to encourage lawmakers to review information they believe is often overlooked in public debate.

“It’s information our lawmakers need to be willing to sit down and consider,” Durnin said.

Health Freedom Alabama members recently met Siri during a trip to Washington, D.C., where he was speaking at an event at the Kennedy Center. The group described the meeting as an opportunity to hear directly from the attorney about his work and perspective.

“I’ll tell you this, he’s the real deal. Genuine, down to earth, and fully committed to this fight. It was a pleasure to meet him,” said Durnin. “We are so grateful for his support!”

Following that meeting, Siri donated 140 copies of his book to support the Alabama effort. The organization says those copies are now being distributed to lawmakers across the state.

Alongside the delivery effort, Health Freedom Alabama is encouraging residents to read the book and engage with elected officials.

“Don’t sit this one out. Get your own copy of the book. Read it. Share it. Start the conversations, especially with your legislator. When you reach out, ask them if they have read their copy yet,” Durnin encouraged.

The initiative comes as debates over vaccine policy, public health authority, and medical transparency continue to draw attention at both the state and federal levels.

Health Freedom Alabama was formed during the 2021 legislative session, when a grassroots coalition pushed to ban vaccine passports in Alabama. That effort led to passage of SB267, which was signed into law on May 24, 2021.

Since then, the group has focused on protecting parental rights and medical choice in Alabama. HFA works to educate and equip citizens while partnering with Dtate lawmakers to defend what it calls fundamental health freedoms. Citing the State motto, “We Dare Defend Our Rights,” the organization says it remains active in the legislative process and committed to guarding against government-mandated medical policies.
