Republican candidate for Alabama Attorney General Katherine Robertson has secured the endorsement of Tony Helms, the longtime Sheriff of Geneva County.
Helms praised Robertson’s record and her support among officers across the State.
“I am proud to support Katherine in her race for Attorney General,” said Sheriff Helms. “As I wrap up my career as the Sheriff of Geneva County, I want to do everything I can to elect the next generation of strong leaders. Katherine's widespread support amongst law enforcement is a testament to her unrivaled track record for public safety. I hope you will join me in voting for her on May 19th.”
Robertson thanked Helms for his endorsement and his decades of service to the Wiregrass community.
“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of Sheriff Tony Helms, a dedicated public servant who has spent decades protecting the citizens of Geneva County with integrity and strength. I am grateful for his trust in me to continue the fight for law and order as Alabama's next Attorney General. Endorsements like Sheriff Helms' from those on the front lines of public safety mean the world to me and reinforce why I'm running—to build on proven results and keep Alabama safe.”
Helms has served as Sheriff in Geneva County for three terms and is widely known in South Alabama law enforcement circles. His backing adds to Robertson’s growing list of support from sheriffs and police leaders statewide.
