Hopewell Baptist Church event also hosted numerous local leaders
Hopewell Baptist Church in Birmingham hosted a Community Conversation on Thursday, May 8. The featured speaker was Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Doug Jones. Jones was introduced by State Representative Patrick Sellers (D-Birmingham). Also featured in the first segment were Pastor Edward E. Rogers and former Birmingham Mayor William Bell.
After Jones spoke, dinner was served, following which the second portion of the program began. Featured during this second portion were Jefferson County Sheriff Mark Pettway, Vice President of the Jefferson County Citizens Coalition Richard Franklin, and former Jefferson County Commissioner and founder of the Team 7 Action Committee Sandra Little Brown.
