ICYMI: Montgomery River Region Minority Region GOP Kickoff Livestream

The Montgomery River Region Minority GOP (MMGOP) hosted a Kick-Off last Friday evening to a standing-room-only crowd at the 1616 House on South Perry Street in Montgomery.

The evening’s Master of Ceremonies was MMGOP Chairman Cedric Coley, and featured GOP leaders State Representative Kenneth Paschal, Alabama Minority GOP Chairman George Williams, Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl, Former Montgomery Republican Party Chairman Greg Pool, Pastor and River Region Minority GOP Vice-Chairman Troy Towns, Former City Councilman and River Region Minority GOP Treasurer William Green.

Special Guest Belinda Thomas—Newton, AL City Council member, small business owner, and conservative community advocate from Dale County—was honored with an Award reading:

Thomas, a Birmingham native, founded Joyful F.A.R.M.S., a nonprofit supporting youth and families, and operates Alabamaboo, Inc., an agriculture-based business.

Thomas teased an announcement in the near future, saying “I am going to be seeking a higher position, but I’m not going to let that out now.” Instead, she focused on Joyful F.A.R.M.S.’ upcoming Collard Green Festival, which will be this Saturday, November 15 from 9:00 AM—5:00 PM at 197 Roosevelt Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.

The group introduced their mission statement:

FAITH

We will courageously proclaim our American Exceptionalism is because of Divine intervention throughout our nation's past, present and future. We acknowledge the Judeo-Christian values and principles enshrined within the framework of our nation's creation, vigilance and restoration.

FAMILY

We will unapologetically support initiatives, policies, legislation, seminars, and other forms of support that intend to, and as a result of, strengthen the Judeo-Christian definition of marriage and family. We acknowledge the universal truth that broken families create broken societies which lead to emerald decay and violate this entity of human life.

FREEDOM

We will continuously strive to enthusiastically advocate for governance of the people, by the people, and for the people. We acknowledge we must maintain our God-given unalienable rights through civic engagement and informed electoral participation.

FUTURE

We will actively recruit and promote constitutional conservatives to seek public office on the federal, state and local levels of government within our American republic. We acknowledge we must be proactive in combating spiritually, politically, economically and scholastically the deliberate demolition of our American way of life.
