Jared Hudson Issues Statement on Bibb County Trafficking Ring Case

Birmingham, AL – Jared Hudson, candidate for United States Senate, issued a statement as news continues to break regarding the Bibb County child sex trafficking case. Hudson is a former Navy SEAL, current law enforcement officer, and founder of Covenant Rescue Group, a nonprofit that provides training for anti-human trafficking operations.

"The suffering inflicted upon these children is unimaginable. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I'm lifting up the victims in prayer. As a father of three young girls, I'm horrified, heartbroken, and holding my daughters closer than ever before. As a law enforcement officer, I'm grateful for the efforts of everyone with a badge involved in bringing down the crime ring. As the founder of a nonprofit created to wipe the scourge of human trafficking off the planet, I'm angry and more committed than ever to my mission. And as a former Navy SEAL, I will never stand idly by while evil exists in this world."

"When I was nineteen years old, I went on a mission trip to Africa. While I was there, I saw a man beating an elderly woman. I started to run over to make him stop, but I was told I wasn't allowed to intervene since it was not what we were there to do.
