Jared Hudson Qualifies for Alabama U.S. Senate seat
Former Navy SEAL Hudson officially qualified for the GOP Senate primary with message centered on Trump, faith and Alabama values
Former U.S. Navy SEAL, law enforcement officer and conservative activist Jared Hudson has officially qualified with the Alabama Republican Party to run for the United States Senate, marking a formal start to his bid in the May 19 Republican primary.
Hudson qualified surrounded by family and supporters, positioning his campaign as an outsider challenge to Washington and a promise to put Alabama first. He has framed his candidacy as a direct response to what he describes as entrenched political leadership disconnected from everyday voters.
“Washington is broken. The swamp is real. It’s full of career politicians who chase cameras, waste our money, and forget who sent them there. Alabama is fed up, and so am I,” Hudson said.
“I’m running for the U.S. Senate not to join the club, but to tear it down and put regular folks back in charge. The mission is clear: lower the cost of living, keep our communities safe, and put Alabama First in Washington.”
Hudson added that his approach would mirror his military service. “And I’ll do it the same way I always have, as a good team guy. I stood shoulder to shoulder with my teammates in the SEAL Teams, and I’ll stand shoulder to shoulder with Senator Katie Britt and President Trump to fight for Alabama and get results. No games. Just results.”
Earlier, Hudson’s campaign launched its first Statewide television advertisement, signaling an early effort to define his candidacy. The ad, titled “Grace,” centers on faith, leadership and former President Donald J. Trump.
“…there is only one possible way President Trump walked away from that bullet…that is by the grace of God,” Hudson says in the ad.
The spot contrasts Trump’s actions with what Hudson characterizes as inaction by elected officials. “President Trump took a bullet for this country. Meanwhile weak politicians won’t even take a tough vote… I will be that warrior,” he said.
Hudson has also outlined a foreign policy worldview he calls the “Trump Doctrine,” describing it as a modern update to the Monroe Doctrine that prioritizes American strength and sovereignty abroad. (alpolitics.com)
On domestic issues, Hudson has taken a firm stance on protecting girls’ sports, pledging to oppose policies that allow biological males to compete in female athletics. His campaign has framed the issue as part of a broader effort to safeguard children and parental rights.
“This kind of nonsense has to end. It's absolutely ridiculous. There's two genders, period, and I don't care who in Los Angeles or New York City it offends. Those two genders are different. That's why we have to have boys sports and girls sports.
“As a father of three girls. I'm not gonna let a bunch of out of touch elites continue ram this trash down our throats. Americans have had enough. Alabamians have had enough,” Hudson has said.
With his qualifying complete, Hudson is expected to continue emphasizing his military background, faith-based messaging and alignment with President Trump as the race moves toward the May 19 primary.
