John Wahl Teams Up With Democrats to Attack Wes Allen

Today, the John Wahl campaign stooped to new lows in their completely false attacks of Wes Allen. Releasing two videos, one in which he teamed up with Democrats to continue to false attack Wes Allen and one in which he completely lied about Allen’s stance on elections being only for Americans.

This afternoon, voters across the state received a mass text from the Wahl campaign which included a video of two men who appeared to be farmers attacking Wes Allen. The video included a disclaimer verifying that it was paid for by the Wahl Campaign.

“Today, John Wahl blew up phones with texts statewide containing a video of two men who appear to be farmers criticizing me. They are too cowardly to identify themselves. One of those men is Michael Goodson. People in Pike County know him well. He recently ran for County Commission as a Democrat, and lost, but he is better known as the husband of the woman who stole money from school children at Zion Chapel School,” Allen said. “John Wahl is so desperate that he is teaming up with Democrats who are married to thieves to try to attack me.”

Allen went on to explain that the men are attacking him for not joining Wahl’s plan to borrow money against the future of our children and grandchildren to pay for roads and bridges which would throw our state into debt.

“The truth is simple. I voted against throwing our state into debt by borrowing money to build the roads and bridges we drive on today. Wahl wanted to throw our children and grandchildren into debt to pay for the roads and bridges we drive on today,” Allen said. “I voted to keep our budgets balanced, which they were for the entire four years I was in the Alabama State House.”

The Wahl campaign also released a video falsely claiming that Allen supported illegal immigrants voting.

“Wahl knows this is a lie,” Allen said. “I have a proven record of fighting to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls. I was sued over removing them and I won. There are people in jail right now because of the steps I took to help law enforcement put immigrants who voted behind bars. John Wahl is a pathological liar who will make up any lie he can think of to try to win this election for Lt. Governor.”

Allen received national press coverage when he was sued by liberal groups and the Biden DOJ for removing non-citizens from the voter rolls. He received nationwide press coverage once again when immigrants who voted illegally were arrested for doing so.

“Those individuals are in jail now because I helped law enforcement put them there and John Wahl knows it,” Allen said. 

The Republican runoff election for Lt. Governor is on Tuesday.
