Joshua McKee Reports Strong Fundraising in AL-1 GOP Race
Former Green Beret McKee raised over $293,000 in the latest quarter, showing rising grassroots support as he campaigns on America First goals
Republican congressional candidate Joshua McKee has reported a strong fundraising quarter, raising $293,258 over the past three months as he vies for the GOP nomination in Alabama’s 1st Congressional District. That figure brings his total for the election cycle to $339,761, with about $265,355 in cash on hand heading into the new year.
McKee, a 25-year Army Special Forces Veteran and Bronze Star recipient, framed the effort as evidence of growing grassroots momentum behind his campaign. His platform is centered on Veteran advocacy, fiscal discipline and an America First agenda that will keep Alabama’s voice strong in Washington.
"I am incredibly humbled by the outpouring of support from across the district," McKee said. "For 25 years as a Green Beret, I lived by the creed of 'De Oppresso Liber'—to liberate the oppressed. In Washington, I will fight just as hard to liberate our veterans from a bureaucracy that has failed them for too long. These fundraising numbers represent major grassroots support from Alabamians who believe it’s time for a combat veteran who understands sacrifice to have a seat at the table. Our Veterans deserve a champion who will ensure they receive the care and respect they earned, and I am ready to lead that charge."
McKee has pledged support for term limits and highlighted his mission-first leadership style as a contrast to long-serving lawmakers. On policy, he has adopted broad conservative priorities including border security, defending constitutional rights and cutting federal waste.
"Our momentum is undeniable," McKee continued. "With over a quarter-million dollars in the bank, we have the resources to take our message of service and accountability to every corner of this district. We are just getting started, and I am ready to take the fight to Washington to represent the values of Alabama’s 1st District."
Since announcing his America First campaign in Baldwin County last year, McKee has emphasized local engagement and grassroots support. He thanked U.S. Rep. Barry Moore for his service and said he plans to build on Moore’s record if elected.
