Disclaimer:

ALPolitics hasn't spoken to Heather Moore or Congressman Barry Moore about this. YellowHammer News made a fun suggestion about Heather running for the Congressional Seat. We decided to do an e-mail poll to our subscribers in the District 1 area. It was not scientific. Again, this was just for fun. But hey, it could happen?

As Congressman Barry Moore hints at a possible run for U.S. Senate, a new ALPolitics poll is sending shockwaves through Alabama’s 1st Congressional District: Heather Moore, Barry’s wife and longtime conservative advocate, is leading the pack IF she should enter the race to succeed him.

The email poll, conducted July 29–31 among 612 likely Republican primary voters in the district, shows Heather Moore with a commanding 39%, followed by former Congressman Jerry Carl at 28%, and State Representative Rhett Marques at 13%. The remaining 20% are undecided.

While Heather Moore has not officially declared her candidacy or commented about the speculation, conservative circles and political insiders across Alabama are buzzing with the possibility. The idea gained traction after Yellowhammer News ran an article suggesting that Heather could eye the seat if her husband moves forward with a Senate campaign.

If both Moores pursue their respective campaigns, it could mark a historic moment in Alabama politics: a husband and wife team both serving in Congress, with Barry in the Senate and Heather in the House, a dynamic duo for Alabama conservatives.

Voters in the district have long known Heather not just as the Congressman's wife, but as a mother, small businesswoman, and passionate conservative. Her emergence as a serious contender seems to affirm what many grassroots supporters have felt for years, that she’s ready to step into the arena in her own right.

With Barry Moore’s announcement expected soon, Alabama Republicans could soon see one of the most exciting political moments in recent history unfold, one that would keep President Trump's America First agenda front and center.

With that being said, don't get too excited. It's more likely that Heather will not run. You never know.
