Katherine Robertson Leads Fundraising in Alabama AG Race
Robertson raised over $377,000 in January in the Alabama Attorney General contest
Republican candidate Katherine Robertson surged ahead in January fundraising for the Alabama Attorney General race, reporting $377,408.76 raised last month — nearly $115,000 more than her closest rival. The figure reflects robust early support as Republicans prepare for the May 19 primary.
According to campaign finance filings, Robertson has now raised approximately $2.9 million overall, marking the largest total among the field of GOP contenders.
Robertson has built her campaign on her decade of experience in the Attorney General’s Office, where she serves as Chief Counsel. That background, she says, positions her to uphold conservative values and protect public safety across the state. Her campaign highlights growing confidence in her leadership from voters and key allies alike.
“Alabamians demand a bold, principled Attorney General who will put our state first every single day,” Robertson said in a campaign release, emphasizing her record and message.
She added, “Our campaign’s fundraising success and growing list of endorsements proves that my record of conservative leadership and message of keeping our communities safe, upholding the rule of law, and defending our freedoms is resonating with conservatives across Alabama.”
Robertson’s campaign has drawn backing from a broad coalition. Among her supporters are major law enforcement leaders Dtatewide, including Sheriffs and Police Chiefs. Endorsements include backing from Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett, Etowah County Sheriff Jonathan Horton, and Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship, all of whom praised her law enforcement credentials and leadership.
Agriculture and business groups have also weighed in with support. The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association’s political arm, Alabama BeefPAC, announced its backing of Robertson, noting her understanding of rural issues and her commitment to property rights and regulatory restraint.
Other endorsements include the Alabama Farmers Federation and the Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama — signaling support from both the agricultural and business communities.
Among the other Republican candidates for Attorney General, Jay Mitchell reported cash on hand of $2,459,446. Pamela Casey reported $600,431 cash on hand as of January 31.
Recent polling done by the Remington Research Group showed a statistical dead heat in the race:
- Jay Mitchell — 9%

- Pamela Casey — 8%
75% of respondents in this poll were undecided in this poll conducted January 16-19. The margin of error was 3.5%, with a sample size of 775 respondents.
