Alabama House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter (R-Rainsville) has formally endorsed U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville in his bid for Governor. Ledbetter’s backing adds notable momentum to Tuberville’s campaign in the Republican primary.

“Alabama is winning like never before,” Ledbetter said in a statement. He emphasized that the State’s future depends on “a strong conservative who will always fight to protect our jobs, our beliefs, and our way of life.” He praised Tuberville as an “unapologetically conservative leader who knows how to get things done – especially when it means taking the hard road,” adding, “His record speaks for itself, and I fully believe he is the right man to lead our state as its next governor.”

Their partnership dates back to Tuberville’s 2020 Senate campaign, during which Ledbetter served as co-chairman and helped guide him through a crowded field. “From serving as co-chairman of my campaign for U.S. Senate to now, I appreciate Speaker Ledbetter’s continued support and friendship over the last several years,” Tuberville said. “We share a desire to improve life for all Alabamians from Sand Mountain to the Gulf of America. I’m looking forward to working with him to achieve historic wins for the Yellowhammer State.”

Tuberville, a former football coach turned Senator, announced his candidacy in May, vowing to strengthen K-12 education, bolster manufacturing, and address illegal immigration. His campaign release amplified his leadership credentials—“I’m a football coach. I’m a leader. I’m a builder,” he said, pledging growth for Alabama.
