HUNTSVILLE, AL — Log Cabin Republicans Huntsville proudly congratulates Emily Jones on her decisive victory in the Republican runoff election for Alabama State Board of Education District 8.

Voters across Limestone, Madison, Jackson, and DeKalb Counties made their voices heard, selecting a candidate who has demonstrated unwavering dedication to Alabama's students, parents, teachers, and conservative values. Emily Jones now advances to the General Election in November, where we are confident she will continue to earn the trust and support of voters throughout District 8.

Log Cabin Republicans Huntsville has supported Emily Jones from the very beginning. We first met Emily through grassroots conservative activism and parental rights advocacy efforts and quickly recognized her commitment to educational excellence, transparency, and common-sense conservative leadership. Shortly thereafter, we were honored to host Emily at a Log Cabin Republicans Huntsville social event where she shared her vision for Alabama's schools.

Throughout this campaign, Emily faced criticism from some within Republican circles who questioned her simply because she was willing to engage with our organization. We believe her victory sends a clear message: Alabama Republicans are looking for candidates who are willing to build coalitions, listen to voters, and focus on results—not engage in political gatekeeping.

Emily Jones never wavered. She focused on the issues that matter most to Alabama families:

• Strong academic achievement and educational excellence.
• Increased parental involvement and transparency.
• Support for teachers and local communities.
• Protection of children from political and ideological indoctrination.
• A renewed emphasis on reading, writing, critical thinking, and traditional educational fundamentals.
• Accountability in government and public education.

Her victory demonstrates that hard work, genuine passion for children, and principled conservative leadership continue to win elections in Alabama.

As conservatives, we believe schools should focus on educating students—not advancing political agendas. We support policies that empower parents, strengthen local control, increase transparency, and ensure classrooms remain focused on academic success. We believe students thrive when families, teachers, and communities work together toward shared goals.

Log Cabin Republicans Huntsville is proud to stand alongside conservatives from every background who share these values. While our organization includes both gay and straight Republicans, married couples, families, business owners, educators, veterans, and community leaders, we are united by one thing: our commitment to conservative principles and the future of Alabama.

Too often, misconceptions about our organization have distracted from the work we do. We are not a special interest group seeking favors. We are Republicans who volunteer, organize, campaign, recruit candidates, raise funds, knock doors, make phone calls, and work tirelessly to elect conservative leaders throughout North Alabama.

We invite those who may have questions about our organization to get to know us personally. We believe that Republicans are strongest when we focus on our shared values rather than our differences.

The future of Alabama depends on conservatives working together to advance policies that strengthen families, improve education, support economic growth, protect individual liberty, and preserve the values that make our state exceptional.

Congratulations again to Emily Jones on an impressive victory. We look forward to supporting her campaign through November and celebrating her election to the Alabama State Board of Education.

Together, we will continue working to build a stronger Republican Party, a stronger education system, and a stronger Alabama.
