Mark Gidley Re-election Kickoff to be October 27 in Gadsden
Monday event will be from 5:00–6:00 PM at the Pittman Theatre
Mark Gidley (R-Glencoe) will be officially kicking off his re-election campaign for the Alabama State House in Gadsden on Monday, October 27 from 5:00–6:30 PM. The event will be held at the Pittman Theatre, 629 Broad Street, Gadsden, AL 35901.
Remarks by Gidley will begin at 5:30 PM.
The event is open to the public and no preregistration is required. As it is also a fundraising event, contributions will be accepted.
Gidley, who has served Alabama House District 29 (Etowah and Calhoun Counties) since 2022, having won the seat formerly held by Rep. Becky Nordgren. In the 2025 legislative session he sponsored legislation allowing public schools to accept volunteers as school chaplains, to prevent anyone convicted of elder abuse or exploitation from receiving any benefits from the abused person’s estate, and requiring the 10 Commandments be displayed in the common areas of K-12 schools.
Gidley is a graduate of Hokes Bluff High School and Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and holds a Master’s Degree in Theology. He is married to Kathy Gidley née Chapman. The couple have two daughters and four grandchildren.
