The Montgomery River Region Minority GOP will be hosting a Kick-Off for their organization on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 6:00–8:00 PM at The 1616 House, 1616 South Perry Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.

The event is free, and the public is invited to attend. No pre-registration is required, but an RSVP to either the Facebook Event page or Cedric Coley by call/text at 334.777.4219 is encouraged.

The event will honor Belinda Thomas—Newton, AL City Council member, small business owner, and conservative community advocate from Dale County. A Birmingham native, she founded Joyful F.A.R.M.S., a nonprofit supporting youth and families, and operates Alabamaboo, Inc., an agriculture-based business.

Thomas says “economics affects everything,” a belief shaped by her years in farming, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. In 2024, she ran in the Republican primary for Alabama’s newly drawn 2nd Congressional District, focusing on jobs, rural growth, and faith-based leadership. Her campaign centered on the motto “God first, country second,” reflecting her view that strong local economies and strong values go hand in hand.

Special Guests at the event will include State Representative Kenneth Paschal, Alabama Minority GOP Chairman George Williams, Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl, Former Montgomery Republican Party Chairman Greg Pool, Pastor and River Region Minority GOP Vice-Chairman Troy Towns, Former City Councilman and River Region Minority GOP Treasurer William Green.
