Myrex Qualifies for Alabama House District 12 Race, Emphasizing Faith, Family, and Local Leadership
"My door is always open, and I’ll never forget who I’m working for." - Cindy Myrex

Longtime Cullman County resident and conservative businesswoman Cindy Myrex has officially qualified with the Alabama Republican Party to run for the Alabama House of Representatives in District 12.
Myrex, known for her grassroots involvement and deep ties to the local community, filed her qualifying paperwork Monday, pledging to be a strong, local voice for the people of District 12.
“I love our hometown and the people in it,” Myrex said in a statement. “I’m running because I believe it’s time we had a strong, local voice down in Montgomery who truly understands what matters most to folks around here—faith, family, and good, honest work.”
Myrex brings decades of experience as a small business owner and has been active in conservative circles across the state. Her campaign is centered on protecting parental rights, strengthening small businesses, and defending the traditional values that, she says, define Cullman County.
Beyond her work in business, Myrex has been a familiar face in Republican grassroots efforts. She served as a Trump Alternate Delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention and took part in the Alabama Strike Force’s outreach efforts in Georgia during the last election cycle. She currently serves on the Alabama Republican Party’s State Executive Committee, representing Cullman County.

“My door is always open, and I’ll never forget who I’m working for,” she said. “I’ll take our common sense and strong convictions with me every step of the way.”
As the campaign ramps up, Myrex plans to visit communities throughout the district, listening to voters and sharing her conservative vision for Alabama’s future.
The Republican primary for Alabama House District 12 will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
